1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how AgentVerified ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use AgentVerified (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide as a consumer (Client). When you submit a Quote Request, we collect the information in that request, such as your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, and the coverage goal you select.

Information you provide as an agent. When you create an agent account or listing, we collect your name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), National Producer Number (NPN), and listing details such as your bio, specialties, carriers, and licensing information. If you sign in with InsuraCentral, we receive your identity and producer details (such as name, email, and NPN) from InsuraCentral.

Reviews and content. If you submit a review, we collect the content and the name you choose to display.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect limited technical and usage information — such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and interactions — using cookies and similar technologies and product-analytics tools.

3. How we use information

• To operate the directory and connect consumers with the specific agent they choose.
• To create, verify, display, and manage agent listings.
• To send transactional messages (for example, lead notifications, email verification, and password resets).
• To protect the Service against spam, fraud, and abuse (including bot-protection challenges).
• To measure and improve the Service through analytics.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. How we share information

With the agent you choose. When you submit a Quote Request, we share that request with the specific agent you selected so they can contact you. We do not sell your Quote Request information.

With service providers. We share information with vendors who help us run the Service — for example, hosting and database providers, email-delivery providers, bot-protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), product analytics, and identity/sign-in providers — who are permitted to use it only to provide services to us.

For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of AgentVerified, our users, or others. We may also transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Agent listing information (such as name, photo, city, specialties, and reviews) is displayed publicly by design so consumers can find agents. We do not expose agent email addresses on public pages.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality (such as keeping you signed in and securing forms) and for analytics that help us understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business and legal purposes. We retain Quote Requests and agent listing data while an account or listing is active, and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete or de-identify it.

7. Your choices and rights

• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
• Agents can edit listing information from their dashboard, and consumers can ask us to remove a Quote Request.
• Depending on where you live (for example, California or other states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights, such as the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing. We do not sell personal information for money.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information — for example, encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-party links and services

The Service may link to or rely on third-party sites and services, including agents' own sites and InsuraCentral. InsuraCentral is an independent third-party service, and AgentVerified is not affiliated with or endorsed by it. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to review.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
